Graft (album)
Graft is a studio album released by the noise artist Merzbow.
The album comes on lime green vinyl in a plain white sleeve stamped with the name "Merzbow" and sealed with a sticker featuring the album notes. It is limited to 400 copies. The first 150 mail order copies include a bonus 7".[1]
When the album sells out it will be deleted and will never be reissued on CD.[2]
According to the Merzbow blog, the design was inspired by a 70s Jethro Tull bootleg called My God (not the first time Akita has been influenced by Jethro Tull). The cover of Hiranya resembles that of Aqualung), and the recording was inspired by the plant illustrations in the Voynich manuscript.[3]
